The Iris
Society of Minnesota is a state-wide,
nonprofit organization affiliated with the American Iris

is to broaden interest and disseminate information about
irises. ISM members conduct many activities to promote
interest in
growing iris:
• Operate AIS sanctioned iris shows
• Provide opportunities to purchase iris through sale and
auction
• Create, plant, and maintain public and private iris display gardens
• Develop new iris
• Conduct local garden tours, trek to regional and national iris conventions
and events
• Collect and
distribute information about the history, classification, breeding,
and cultivation
of iris
• Conduct
informative programs, maintain a speaker
bureau, guide gardeners with Irisarian
